I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our virtual office. The Old Greenwich Consulting Group, LLC (OGCG) is a firm dedicated to delivering unparalleled service and financial results to our clients on their employee benefits needs. We specialize in customized insurance solutions that will enable your company to continue providing benefits to your employees.

My name is Michael Johnson and I am the Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of the firm. I developed a unique approach, with my team, to focus on both the financial aspect of your benefit program as well as the day to day servicing needs of an employer’s health and welfare programs. Our team members go above and beyond to address the needs of your firm and your employees. The average tenure in the industry for our employees is 15 years.

My back ground is in Underwriting and Sales. It is my experience in underwriting that sets our firm apart from our competitors. While most brokers have experience selling plans selected by the carrier, my experience in underwriting allows our firm to engage the respective carrier’s underwriting team with a level of knowledge and data that our competitors do not possess. I personally evaluate every aspect of your benefit design and claims experience to ensure that our clients receive the best rates possible.

I have been in the employee benefits market place for over fifteen years servicing firms in the middle market. We define middle market as employers with 300-2000 employees. By understanding the financial aspect of health insurance underwriting, our team can provide alternative plan designs and strategies to help firms reduce their employee benefit liability.

I personally view the relationships we have with our clients as multi-faceted as we typically have two unique buyers in any employer group: the HR team and the financial team. Each plays a critical role in the decision making process. HR does not want to reduce benefits and the financial team does not want to pay more money. Our group is uniquely qualified to understand the unique needs of both the HR and financial team. We work in partnership with our clients so that their benefit program can be used as a retention and recruitment tool yet still fit within the budget set forth by the financial team.
